DIY Cake Stand Perfume Holder

As many of you know Pinterest loves cakestand storage. I do too, it adds a little bit of depth, a little color, and overall it just looks a little bit classy. When I saw this pin I knew I had to make it.

Total cost per item or pair or project: $24.00*

Materials:

-candle stick

-plate
-spray paint
-spray paint gloss

Cost:

$1.00     candle stick

$1.00     plate
$5.00     silver spray paint

$17.00   Clear Finish

$24.00*     Total

*I did not use the whole spray can for the whole project so it was really less than $24.00

Directions:

1. Glue candle stick to plate and let dry according to instructions

2. Spray paint 2 coats letting dry 24 hours between coats

3. After you have the color you want, spray the clear finish and let dry.

Notes:

I'm not sure if I was a little over zealous, but the clear coat really didn't protect anything, the spray paint is being scratched off by my bottles :(. Oh well... at some point I will get bored of the silver and I will try again!!
